WHO WE ARE Benton County Right to Life (BCRL) is:
organization of committed life advocates. We are a local chapter of Arkansas Right to Life, which is an affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee. Together, with the other 49 state affiliates and their chapters, we are the largest organization of life advocates in the nation. |
|
BOARD OF DIRECTORS Our Board of Directors consists of Officers and Trustees. Officers are elected, as needed, from our Trustee pool. Trustees are those individuals who have displayed a strong commitment to the pro-life movement by organizing pro-life cells, committees, and study groups within their church or community. We have no paid staff. We are an all volunteer organization. MEETING TIME & LOCATION BCRL consists of numerous Pro-Life Cells or Committees (PLCs) that gather regularly throughout Benton County to fellowship and discuss "Life Issues." Each PLC sets its own gathering times and locations.
All PLCs join together to produce events and for quarterly county-wide chapter meetings held on the first Monday in February, May, August, & November. Currently, chapter meetings are held in the Arvest Bank Meeting Room located in the rear of the Bentonville Town Square Branch, on the corner of North Main & Legion Streets, from 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm. All gatherings and meetings are open to the public. |
FUNDING BCRL is a 501C-4 organization. Financial support is provided solely by individual and group donations, both for our general operating expenses as well as our special projects. Although we endorse issues (not political parties or individual candidates), donations to BCRL are not tax deductible. Please consider becoming a regular donor to help us spread the pro-life message. Perhaps you could ask your church to write an annual donation to BCRL into the church budget or take a special collection on Respect Life Sunday and/or Sanctity of Life Sunday to be sent to BCRL.
Crisis Prevention The pro-life movement is multifaceted. Right to Life charters' role in the movement is, as stated above, education and legislation. While we are not a pregnancy help center, we recognize the vital role such centers play in the movement and support their efforts to help women in crisis. If you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or if you are a new mother who needs help providing for your child, we strongly urge you to contact a pregnancy help center near you. |
